 Shake and Shingle Supply, in existence since 1977, is owned and operated by Robert and Kathy Ingle and staffed with employees whose average tenure is 15 years. Initially begun as a turnkey roofing company specializing in wood shakes and shingles in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, The Company gradually expanded the size and scope of its operations to include many types of residential roofing products and accessories, not only in the Dallas/Fort Worth area, but regionally as well with a satellite location in Denver. Over time Shake and Shingle moved away from the application of shingles and into the sales and distribution of roofing products to homeowners, contractors, and building material suppliers and established a national reputation as THE wood roofing specialists. In the last year Robert and Kathy were introduced to TimberSIL® Glass Wood Products, invented by an old friend from college and graduate school, Karen Slimak of Timber Treatment Technologies. In TimberSIL® Glass Wood they saw the opportunity to again bring to market a high quality, environmentally friendly product made from renewable resources inside the US - a natural complement to The Company and a much needed alternative to the toxic and corrosive treated wood products previously available.
